It has been quite a long time I did not write anything on this blog.

Today is the 17th February, 2013. I have managed to complete veneer grafting on a durian tree. I am using young D197 aka Musang King aka Raja Kunyit and veneer grafted it onto a Kampung Durian tree. Actually, I am using my own modified veneer grafting technique. Hopefully, in two months time, it will take each other and form a new tree. Should it succeed, then the waiting time for the D197 to bear fruit would be in 3 years time if not 2 years. I am going to put extra effort and extra fertilizer to make it mature early. Hi hi.

Meanwhile, a few days ago I planted a young rambutan tree; in fact it was too young, the height was only about 6 inches. But since I don't want to waste the organic soil that has been prepared months before, I decided to just plant the young rambutan tree. It is known as Rambutan Anak Sekolah aka R191. This rambutan tree, if it grows beautifully (since it was too young), I plan to make it mature in one year, and prepare it to bear fruit by the second year.

What is next? I am not sure yet, but I plan to transplant a water apple tree onto a new site, which I haven't prepared anything yet. It is now in polybag, and fruiting its first season.... I need to wait for the fruit to mature before transplanting to its new site.. It will take another two months, perhaps...

Another old rambutan tree needs to be chopped down, and planted with new type of rambutan, perhaps Rambutan Gading Muar aka R156 or together with Rambutan Gula Batu aka R3

URghhh

After 4 weeks of not caring to my plants, I found some of them are dying and sick. Some are growing healthily with fruits!

Ok, it is time to resume caring for them.

Energetic?

I am now setting up a new blog Power of Dreams at http://powerofdreams-seminar.blogspot.com/ as promotional tool. At the same day, I have also set up buddiestraining.blogspot.com for Buddies Training and Consultant as platform to synchronise our activities on a blog. A few days earlier, I have set up a forum at www.powerofdreams.freeforums.org as a discussion place for all Power of Dreams participants. Hey, I am using Slitaz Linux now.... on this notebook of course.

LibreOffice and Slitaz Linux

I wrote this a few hours after I have successfully installed LibreOffice in Slitaz Linux. I have tried installing many times and many weeks using script found on the internet, but failed. Fortunately, after trying many times I have found the technique. 1. Go to http://mirror.slitaz.org/packages/stable/ and search for get-LibreOffice-1.2-tazpkg, click, and download and save on your desktop. 2. click to install or extract and you will get a new folder get-LibreOffice-1.2 3. go to System Tools > PCMan File Manager >.... and you are now in your main file window 4. since everyone's pc is different, now is your time to search for folder usr > lib. You are in the right lib folder when you can see many program folders in it. Lib folder is like Program Files in windows. 5. go to Tools > Open Current Folder as Root... enter the password and you will get second window with super user mode 6. copy the new folder get-LibreOffice1.2 from desktop to lib 7. now get-libreoffice1.2 > fs > usr > bin > and you will find an icon get-libreoffice1.2. 8. in the same folder go Tool > Open Terminal 9. get your su and then type get-libreoffice1.2 and press enter...... 10. it is time to take a break....... when everything is installed you will get LibreOffice is installed. and a new cd directory. 11. I do not guarantee anything, but at least I have installed LibreOffice successfully in my Slitaz Linux

Celik Usahawan - Modul Power of Dreams

I extend my thanks to my team Amirah, Zack, Hisham and Hafizi for making a 4 day seminar Celik Usahawan - Modul Power of Dreams a success. This seminar is funded and organised by Jabatan Pengajian Politeknik with the intention to enlarge the number of businessmen in Malaysia. Initially, 5 politeknik were supposed to attend, but on the day, we were informed that only 3 were coming and the balance of 2 couldnt make it citing last minute invitation as reason. I guess, somebody is not carrying the duty well. The seminar began on the 18th Sept 2012 and ended on the 21st of September and held at Kolej Keda, Sik, Kedah. About 55 students attended and left the seminar in a very positive mode.

New Year?

I don't celebrate New Year for so many years I can remember. I just don't feel like it. In short, never ask me to celebrate new year.
