Very early in the morning, and the grass is still wet with last nite's dew. I took out two packet of fertilisers that I bought the day before. I applied some to rose apple and sour sop plant. Sour sop is flowering good, but very lazy to fruit, whilst rose apple has begun to flower a few times but never get past flowering. What did I do? I applied about 200 gram of flowering inducer to rose apple, and fruiting inducer to sour sop, and will wait for 2 weeks to 1 month to see any effect.
Later, I went to my banana plant section, and found out two young shoots came out from the soil. I swear I did not notice them two days ago which was Sunday. And one of the shoot is about 6 inches high. The two shoots came out from 2 rhizomes, which formerly were 4 footer 'pisang emas' which have been 'ploughed' by wild boar to the root. That happened about 3 weeks ago. Thank God, I do not need to find new 'pisang emas' plantlet which is quite difficult to come by. Even the 'pisang emas' fruit is hard to be found in any market. Quite a rarity now. Hope the new shoots will grow fast and start to bear fruit in another 3 month or so. Wishful thinking eh? It may bear fruit in 3 months, since they are still the same rootstock.
My experiment in controlling the banana disease is not successful enough. About 4 banana plants show they are losing the battle, but the rest which are more than 20 plants show good progress. I am going to use/spray my proprietory 'chemical' more often now and with another application technique. Seems to me it can be somewhat effective if the dosage is increased, and period between application is shortened.
[ I TOLD U AM NOT INTO AGRICULTURE BUT INTO EXPERIMENTATION ]
Next, I found out rambutan tree is flowering again. God is great, ain't He? The last fruiting was about 1 month ago, and now it starts to flower again. If my memory is right, this is the fourth time the rambutan tree flowers this year alone.
