One Month After

My last posting was on the video ban. Actually, I have lots of issues to share, unfortunately, I did not focus enough to put my thoughts on this blog. Apart from being busy using my mind to think, I was also busy tending to my agricultural experiment.

One of my girlfriends asked me, why am I so into agriculture? I told her I am not into agriculture, but I am into experimentation.

What have I found after years of experimentation? (ehem, so to speak...)

1. Rejuvenation of 'dead soil' takes so long a time and effort, and money too. I have managed to turn the small plot of land into a little more fertilised land, eventhough it hasn't reach the fertility rate I want. This is done through using a lot of Effective Microbes, lime, zeolite, and manure.
2. The use of EM cannot guarantee much, even though I can see some improvement on plants
3. I have also managed to produce own EM using own method
4. I know that durian plant is easily grafted and almost sure of the success
5. Banana plant is easily attacked by virus and the diseases are normally known as Panama, Moko, and Shigotako. Use of lots of EM by spraying to the wound and also to soil can slow down the effect of the banana plant disease. As far as my experiment is concerned, EM used hasn't been succesful to eliminate the virus.
6. A lot of weaving ant (kerengga)on your plant is dangerous not only to your plant, but also to you. ha ha.
7. Rose Apple (jambu air) needs many horizontal branch for it to produce lots of flower
8. And some of the fruit plant, we can train them into living fence, and I plan to do some training experiment on that, very soon and also to check if my assumption is right. My assumption is Rose Apple needs horizontal branch to fruit, and minimal number of branch will produce lots of fruits.

For now, till I write again.
